As Biana Censori’s Grammy 2025 red carpet look has made countless headlines, people have been comparing her to Kanye West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
44-year-old Kardashian posted on Instagram some pictures of herself at the 2025 Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala. She was wearing a custom design from luxury fashion house Balmain.
She wore a halter-neck dress with crocodile scales imprinted and sheer panels on the midriff. The back of the dress plummeted to just above the reality star’s derrière.
“Now that’s how you show a lil skin,” one person commented on the picture.
“Yes! Love Kim using her platform for good and not getting naked on the red carpet,” another person noted.
Her sister Khloé Kardashian also had some comments on the picture, saying, “You are one of one.” Another comment added to Kim Kardashian’s post, “The slight buttcrack in this dress is EVERYTHING.”
Kardashian, who started to date Kanye West in 2012 announced her first pregnancy with the rapper in the same year. The couple tied the knot in 2014 and subsequently divorced in 2022. They welcomed four children during their time together: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Kanye, who now goes by the name of Ye, officially married Bianca Censori in 2022. Censori is now stepmother to Kardashian’s four children. The Australian model has, since her relationship with Ye, debuted a lot of controversial outfits.
A lot of people believe that the Grammy-winning rapper has been coercing his wife into these outfits.
Kardashian has also talked about how Kanye would influence her clothing choices on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, saying, “Kanye’s always dressed me, always styled me.”
She said while it was their “thing” and that the rapper would share looks with her via email even before they began dating, she still wanted some “independence.”
“That’s always really been our thing. But there’s also a side of me that wants total independence, too,” she told her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian on her reality show.
Ye’s ex-girlfriend Julia Fox, has also talked about how Ye would control her wardrobe choices in public.
In her 2023 memoir, Down the Drain, she alluded to a ‘former boyfriend’ who had a ‘team’ that would work on her wardrobe. She also said that two of her best friends were hired by Ye to style her and one of them showed up in the middle of their date with a “mountain of clothes.”
“I’m happy to see her, but it’s a little strange he didn’t just tell me he didn’t like my original outfit,” she wrote in her book.
She also said in the book that the “master gaslighter,” who she never named, had offered her to get her boobs done only because a dress did not “fit quite right.”
She talked about how ultimately she regretted that relationship saying it was “probably the most uncomfortable position” she has been in her life.
“I regret that relationship so much,” she said in an interview to the Sunday Times.
“I hate it! It was only a few weeks but enough to last me a lifetime.”
