That’s right. God is still in the business of miracles. It may not be parting the Red Sea or closing the mouths of lions–but he is still in the business of providing beyond our wildest dreams.
Take Francesco Bruno, for example, he was born with a genetic disease called Skeletal Dysplasia. In fact, he is the second child of Emanuele and Priscilla Bruno to be diagnosed with this condition.
Sadly, his other brother had passed away a week after he was born. And when they learned their son would be born with this disease, they prayed for a miracle.
Francesco was hospitalized immediately after he was born. His parents knew right then that faith would be the only power that would get them through every moment with their little boy.
Day by day, moment by moment, Franceso Bruno defied his doctor’s prognosis. Each day became a miracle that he was still alive, still breathing, and still smiling.
Three years later, the big day came when he would get to go home, where his other six siblings are waiting for him. “Finally, it’s happening. They’ve been praying for this for a long time,” said Priscilla.
“The fact that we are even standing here, almost three years later, talking about him is already a miracle in and of itself, in my opinion,” said Emanuele.
Through their son’s small but momentous life, God has taught the medical team, caregivers, friends, and family that God wants to answer our prayers. He wants to provide miracles beyond our wildest dreams. When you want to see a miracle in your life, all you need to do is pray and believe.
Choose to trust God to make the provision for your life because He sees the bigger picture. As for Francesco, he’s taught his parents to live each day and treasure it.
“Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours,” Mark 11:22-24.
