Wedding days are among the most stressful in a person’s life.
So it’s expected that both the bride and groom may be a bit angsty, considering they’re about to sign away their lives to another person, right?
But one woman completely lost the plot when she called off the ceremony after her guests refused to pay towards their big day.
In a post to Reddit, the disgruntled bride said: “Dear Friends. It comes with great sadness that I am announcing the cancellation of the [redacted] wedding.
“Unfortunately, [redacted] and I have broken up due to some recent and irreparable problems. We have decided to end our relationship and not go forth with any future proceedings.”

But rather than just leave it there, as most people probably would, she decided to get right into it with everyone.
Explaining exactly why things fell apart, the bride went on to explain how she and her ex had met when they were young and had dreamed of the perfect day.
After having their first child, however, they decided to hold off on tying the knot as they simply couldn’t afford it.
“We saved and saved,” she recalled. “I was in love, I was happy, and I was looking forward to life. We continued working and even got our degrees. It was hard, yes, but so blissfully worth it.”
Together, they managed to save around $15,000. But when a psychic told them to go for an expensive option when planning their wedding, they were still way off the $60,000 required.
So how best to get things over the line? The guests, of course.
She went on: “All we asked for was a little help from friends and family to make it happen.
“I SPECIFICALLY, I mean SPECIFICALLY asked for cash gifts. How could we have OUR wedding that WE dreamed of without proper funding?
“We’d sacrificed so much and only asked each guest for around $1,500 each.”
The maid of honour was expected to cough of $5,000, while the groom’s family had to part with $3,000.
And those who didn’t contribute would not be allowed to attend.
Well, as you can imagine, the proposal wasn’t as popular as they’d hoped, and only eight guests replied, while the GoFundMe they’d set up raised just $250.
“How was this supposed to happen without a little help from our friends?” the bride asked.
“Do I matter to you? Just give me money for my wedding. I won’t even sugarcoat it. I won’t even pretend that’s not what I wanted. It was for a dream.”
